Let our expert educators teach you a new and exciting embroidery technique every month with Mona's Monthly Embroidery Techniques class!
Each month, we will have a new embroidery class aimed at teaching you a different embroidery technique. Take them all, or pick and choose which techniques interest you.
While each project in the series stands independently of the others, taking most of the classes in the series will augment the students' knowledge base to enable them to use their embroidery machines confidently.
The series will cover stabilizer alternatives, needle selection, design selections, techniques, and machine setting adjustments encountered in various machine embroidery projects on multiple textiles.
List of Monthly Projects (not in order):
· Free Standing Lace Jewelry
· Quilted Appliqué Placemat
· Wall Art on Stretched Canvas
· Embroidery on a Rope Tray
· Trapunto Embroidery Throw Pillow
· In the Hoop Luggage Tags and Name Tags
· In the Hoop Teddy Bear
· Embroidery with Yarn Sweatshirt
· Velvet Pillow
· Fleece Cuddle Toy in the Hoop
· Text Challenge part 1 – Kitchen Towel Recipe
· Text Challenge part 2 – Bath Towels
The class fee includes a supply kit which consists of the textile, stabilizer, embroidery thread, needle and embroidery design for that project. An exception to this is the Yarn Embroidery on a Sweatshirt, where the student will bring a sweatshirt; all other supplies will be included in the kit.
Materials for students to bring to each class:
The students will bring their machine, embroidery module, power cord, embroidery hoop, bobbin thread, paper scissors, embroidery thread snips, applique (duckbill) scissors, and embroidery tape.
